On behalf of the men and women of the Los Angeles Police Department, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the 2007 Los Angeles/Valley Pride Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) Awareness Festival.

Since 2000, Los Angeles/Valley Pride has been holding this annual celebration to promote GLBT awareness and develop a stronger sense of unity in the Los Angeles area. Events of this magnitude result from a great deal of dedication, and enhance community partnerships.

On behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department, I would like to applaud the work of Los Angeles/Valley Pride and its continuous efforts to create a forum for understanding. Best wishes for continued success and a most enjoyable celebration.
