Version 1 - Needing Volunteers to Staff an Exhibitor Booth

Los Angeles / Valley GLBT Pride Awareness Festival at CBS Studio Center Set for Sunday, October 12, 2008

[name of organization] is looking for volunteers to staff our booth at the upcoming Los Angeles / Valley Pride GLBT Awareness Festival on Sunday, October 12, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

This is the seventy year for the festival, and the fifth time on the backlot of CBS Studio Center --- located at the corner of Ventura Boulevard and Radford Avenue, just one block east of Laurel Canyon Boulevard in Studio City. We need people to work [insert number]-hour shifts.

The festival site is the forty-seven acre CBS Studio Center backlot, where the exhibitors and entertainment venues will be situated in between the sound stages and the outdoor sets. Notable as the production site for Gunsmoke, Twilight Zone, My Three Sons, Gilligan's Island, and the Mary Tyler Moore Show --- Will & Grace, and That 70's Show --- Big Brother, CSI and Entertainment Tonight --- and now Los Angeles / Valley Pride. The festival site will include a Main Stage as well as dance tents for dance, as well as country western. Along with [name of organization], more than 100 commercial and community organizations will be exhibiting, including the Human Rights Campaign, Christ Chapel of the Valley, Equality California, Tinseltown Squares, Unitarian Universalists of Studio City, and more.

New this year, Marriage Fair comes to LAVP. Come and celebrate California's landmark decision by visiting with the dozens of special exhibitors, ready to provide you with everything you need to plan your perfect wedding. Caterers, wedding planners, ceremony locations, cakes, florists, honeymoon planners, jewelers, limousines, musicians and entertainers, reception facilities, tuxedos and dresses, hair and make-up, party rentals, financial planners, invitations, officiants, photographers, videographers and MORE!!!

Admission is $10 ($7 for seniors, disabled and teens). Children 12 and under are admitted free. Parking in the six-story CBS parking structure is free as well.
